Nancy O'Dell's initial work in the industry of broadcast was as a reporter/anchor at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor for morning news on WCBD TV and was the crime reporter. O'Dell's reportage on the streets of Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases resulted in the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the DUI cases. The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with the Best Report of the Years Award in all South Carolina Media. Following her work in Charleston O'Dell was a anchor, co-anchor, and investigative reporter for the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor as well as a weekday correspondent. In addition to her current job as the lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also a contributor to NBC News' Today and as well contributes to Dateline NBC. She has reported on events like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards, as well co-hosting Pre ShowArrivals Programs during The Emmys. Other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
