Her birth date was March 29, 1985, in Roswell New Mexico. Her name was Gerina Mendoza. Gerina Stevenson is the daughter of Mexican grandparents Rita Stevenson and Alan Stevenson. Stevenson is American and has Mexican-American heritage. From the time she was little she's been extremely keen on playing sports. Gerina began golfing when she was the age of 15. Gerina has graduated from Goddard High School. While she was in high school, she took home at the New Mexico state golf tournament. In addition, she was a volleyball player at the state level. She went to the University of Texas in 2003. During the senior period of her career she had won every tournament that she participated in. Through her college professional career, she took home an award for Conference USA Individual Champion Player of the Year and Female UTEP athlete of the Year.
